The mortgage document must have the following:

  • The borrower (grantor) and their address, the lender (grantee) and their mailing address
  • The amount of the mortgage
  • The maturity date legal description and a preparation statement
  • The clerk shall request a return mailing address
  • The document must be signed by the mortgager (borrowers) and their signature(s) notarized
  • The document must be filed in the county where the property is located
